Kids Spend More Time on Technology than
Family: Survey
Children as young as seven are spending so much time on technology than with family that it is affecting the relationships between parents and kids, says a survey.
According to the second annual Halifax Insurance. Digital Home Index, a study offered by banking
chain Halifax, one-third of 7 to 8-year-olds, two-thirds of 9 to 11-year-olds, and nearly nine in ten
of 12 to 14-year-olds now own a mobile phone.
However, 60 percent of parents feel that the amount of time children spend using technology
is impacting on time spent with family and friends, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
The study found that today’s children each own
an average of 924 pounds worth of electronic devices, and a third check their phone for messages several times an hour. Two-thirds of
children even admit to using their devices in bed, including mobile phones and tablets, raising
concerns that youngsters are finding it difficult to switch off.
This behaviour is causing a shift in family dynamics, as over a third of children are even using technology to communicate with family
members while under the same roof, and a third of parents and their children confess to using
technology devices at the dinner table. However, 30 percent of children claim their
parents’ technology usage sets a bad example to them, with weary parents spending an average of
three hours a day watching television and 68 percent using their technology devices whilst with
their kids.
“Modern technology is part of contemporary life
and naturally this is reflected in the way families operate. However, it is becoming clear that a
number of children and young people use technology excessively,” said Kairen Cullen, chartered educational psychologist.

Season Greetings and Warm wishes for a blessed & Cheerful 2014!!

As we approach the end of this academic year and our 4^th year of service towards providing quality education in Narabhavi 2^nd stage, Annapurneshwari nagar, since our inception in 2010. We will like to take this opportunity to thank the Almighty lord for his abundant blessings and guidance. We cannot forget the encouragement, support and guidance from our patrons, parents, students, teachers and our well wishers. These blessings and support helped us achieve a good year where we were able to teach our students “HOW to LIVE”

Our commitment has been to ensure the overall holistic development of our students in addition to our efforts to impart the best education. There is a great saying: Real education fetches you more than a job. It teaches you to live. It cannot be measured in any tangible way. 

As we share the yearly updates of our activities, we take modesty to say that did more than what we planned and we are proud of our students and teachers who strive hard to achieve beyond expectation. As always, our focus was on holistic development of the students. Real education took the centre stage as every year. We incorporated new and updated books to ensure that we don’t compromise of the quality of the education imparted.

Here is the glimpse of few activities and achievements:

Concept Day -every month we are hosting "Concept day", which includes color day, shapes day,  occupation day, fruits day and vegetables day, Domestic and wild animals day, alphabets day,  cloths day, nutritional food day, and assignments which are taught to perform by the kids.

Celebrations and Festivals– We celebrated our National important days which included, Independence Day, Teachers Day, Gandhi Jayanthi, Childrens day, Students participated in all the celebrations in the right festive spirit.

Play Group and Nursery Welcome day, Varmahalakshmi day, Raksha Bandhan Sree Krishna Janmashtami, Gowri and Ganesh Festival, Christmas celebrations, sports day and  now Annual day, We had more than 75+ celebrations which includes Birthdays, National Days, awareness days etc.,

Fancy dress competition: Every year we are always amused at the creativity and involvement by the students. This year too our kids performed on Nov 16th Similarly Occupational Day was celebrated on July 29

Competitions: We expose our students to competitions to help them build confidence. Some of the internal competitions included coloring competition, Memory Recall Competition, Shloka Recitations and etc, Our students also participated in various  external competitions which included: Drawing and Fancy dress Competition @ Gaytahri Vidya nekethan and others

Facilities : The syllabus and books have been revised to ensure that the kids have the updated curriculum. New books have been introduced in Nursery section to help teachers to pay personal attention to the students. Our facilities include Quality infrastructure with full fledged computers, projectors and etc, We have 1 school van for our kids

Our family: Our family consisting of 3 teaching staff, 2 Non-teaching staff. Our staff are qualified and experienced in their respective field to ensure care for the children.

To ensure that our kids are more equipped to face any challenge, we have included focus on special subjects like First aid and health education, traffic rules, Social responsibilities, environmental studies, fire prevention, soft skills and leadership skills

Our regular classes also included:

- Music and dance classes to incorporate the appreciation towards

  Fine arts in the young minds.

- Moral education aims at creating responsible citizens for the

  Nation and to help develop the Spirit of brother hood and respect

  towards parents and elders.

Other than regular classes

Full day care, Half Day care, Stay after school and we conducting tuitions from LKG to 10th STD,

-Free style dance classes is conducted by FERIOCIOUS DANCE

 TROUP, By Mr.Aarya.

-And we are happy to announce that we are starting engineering  

 drawing classes for DIPLOMA Students.

Award: We will be very happy to announce the best outgoing student’s award for the year. This award is for the overall performance across activities and studies.
